RT

Radiographic Testing (RT), or industrial radiography, is a nondestructive testing (NDT) method of inspecting materials for hidden flaws by using the ability of short wavelength electromagnetic radiation (high energy photons) to penetrate various materials.

MT

Magnetic particle testing is a non-destructive process used to detect surface and subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials like nickel, cobalt, iron and their alloys. Magnetic particle testing uses small magnetic particles and magnetic fields to find flaws in various products such as forgings, castings and weldments.

PT

Dye penetrant Testing or also known as penetrant testing (PT), is a commonly applied and low-cost inspection method used to check surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials such as metals, plastics, or ceramics.

UTT

Ultrasonic testing is a form of nondestructive testing. Ultrasonic testing uses special equipment to send high frequency sound waves to penetrate a material's thickness.

PMI/OES

Positive Material Identification (PMI) is the analysis of a material, this can be any material but is generally used for the analysis of metallic alloy to establish composition by reading the quantities by percentage of its constituent elements. Typical methods for PMI include X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and optical emission spectrometry (OES).
